Six Flags New England
Route 159, 1623 Main Street
Agawam, MA 01001
History: Six Flags New England was formerly known as Riverside Park, due to its eastern border being on the Connecticut River. Six Flags bought the park in 2000.
Hours: http://www.sixflags.com/newEngland/info/parkInfo.aspx. Six Flags New England is open from April through Halloween.
Tickets: Buy and print online. Always try to buy your tickets in advance, to save time when you get to the park.
Strategy: As with any amusement park, arrive early (at least :30 minutes before opening) and hit the headliner attractions first (coasters). Once the coaster tour is complete, make sure to hit Houdini - The Great Escape as it is a fairly unique theme park experience.
New for 2011: A new family coaster was added to the park next year called Gotham City Gauntlet: Escape from Arkham Asylum. This Maurer-Sohne Wild Mouse coaster, recently reclaimed from Kentucky Kingdom, was formerly named Road Runner Express. -- Last edited by James Rao on April 21, 2011
