The current version of this description is at Superman Escape.Superman Escape is an Intamin Accelerator Coaster open in Summer of 2005.
Upon entering the queue for Superman Escape you are transported to the Metropolis subway system. A preshow playing on monitors advises guests how to board the roller coaster, and also let's you know that tremors are being felt all over the city.
Once boarding the roller coaster it appears a huge earthquake begins to rock Metropolis and using a tire drive system you pass scenes of mayhem. Lockers flying open, pipes cracking and steam pouring out, a huge flood down exit stairs and finally a crashed police vehicle. Luckily Superman arrives to push us to safety travelling 0 - 100 kilometres in 2 seconds!
With 760 metres of vertical climbs, weightless drops and G-force turns, Superman Escape is one of a kind at the Gold Coast. -- Last edited by Nathan Alexander on April 30, 2012
