What a horrible waste. I had hoped another park would have salvaged one or both of the coasters and rebuilt them. This seems like a real lost opportunity.
Like many coasters, the value in scrap metal is probably greater than what someone else would pay to transport, reassemble, and assume liability for an aging coaster. Another one of my all time favorite dragon themed roller coasters, Drachen Fire at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, met the same fate.
That is tough too see. I propose a toast to the greatest dueling coaster ever to exist.
