A group of Disney fans have started an online petition to bring back meet and greets with Flik and Princess Atta, from Pixar's A Bug's Life. The two used to appear near the Bug's Life 4D movie in the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom, but lost their spot to Russell and Dug from Up.
Disney does a ton of audience research when it assigns characters, so I don't doubt that the company believed that the Up characters would be more popular with fans than the Bug's Life ones. But the backers of this petition don't want Russell and Dug to go away -- they've found what they think would be a more appropriate spot for them in the park, which would free their location for the return of Flik and Atta.
What do you think about the assignment of meet and greet characters around Walt Disney World? What changes would you like to see Disney make to accommodate both demand for the most popular characters, and the desire of many fans to see a wider variety of characters, including ones from older films?
