WDW Water Parks and newer ticket formats

Planning a short WDW trip for February and was wondering what others thought...

Our family has a ton of "Plus Passes" and "Fun Passes" left on old, non-expired tickets. The primary use for these passes are the WDW Water Parks, which all members of the family enjoy.

The thing is: In those days, you would typically buy a "5-day park hopper" or similar, and have an extra day for a water park. But now, with more flexibility of the Magic Your Way tickets and the way they're priced -- so little extra money to add an extra day -- in addition to having make Fastpass+ reservations in advance for park attractions, it seems hard to justify us holding out a day for a water park -- even though we have already paid for the tickets!! Especially at a time of year when weather conditions may not be super-great for a water park day or half-day.

So I'm wondering: Are others (in general and also hardcores on this board) feeling the same way and/or visiting the WDW Water Parks less often than they used to ?

We have the same passes with the Water Park days. We usually go to the water parks when we're taking a trip to Universal, therefore not needing or using our Park tickets.

We usually just pick a day to do a water park and then go to Disney Springs. Seems to work pretty well!
