Dollywood launches website to promote 2007 coaster2006-06-04By Carey Lynn Holtsclaw: With countless rumors popping up around Dollywood’s 2007 addition, the park has created a new website to add fuel to the fire: The website will feature a new video every Friday explaining the story behind the "Mystery Mine", as well as concept artwork and other information culminating with an official announcement on July 7th. While very little is known about the attraction at this point, a Sevier County newspaper, The Mountain Press, reported that Dollywood in March had filed papers to the Pigeon Forge Planning Commision for construction of a new 121-foot tall roller coaster. The ride is said to send guests careening through an old mineshaft, with a vertical drop over a broken trestle. Readers' OpinionsThis article has been archived and is no longer accepting comments.
