Readers can help save the Country Bear Christmas ShowBy Robert Niles
The hot rumor out of the Magic Kingdom is that the powers that be at Walt Disney World have decided to save a few bucks by not installing the Christmas Show at the Country Bear Jamboree.Published: November 2, 2006 at 9:47 PM As a former "Bear Band" cast member, who has seen the three versions of this show, oh, about a combined 3,000 times, the Christmas show is my favorite. Disney's had great success with holiday overlays for its attractions, especially at Disneyland, but the Country Bear show is the original, and one of the few at Walt Disney World. Fortunately, there might be some hope for Country Bear fans. Disney managers are said to be monitoring customer feedback on this, and an outcry of support for the Bears might help bring the Christmas show back. Perhaps even for this year. So if you are visiting Walt Disney World this week, stop by the Magic Kingdom Guest Relations counter in City Hall, and make a polite request that Disney maintain the Country Bear's Christmas tradition. (Be sure that the cast member you speak with writes down your request!) And if you aren't going to be in the parks, find the snail mail address to write to Disney on our How to contact various theme parks wiki.

I also love the X-mas Country Bear show!! I dont think the amount of money it would cost to bring back this x-mas show would break the bank for the Walt Disney Co. From Terri Thomas on November 3, 2006 at 2:30 PM
‘Twas the Season of Yule and all through their lairs, Was the dancing and singing of Jamboree Bears. The joyful cast members For the young and the old Then what to my Why the show is as timeless Don’t they know there are things I wonder who arrived So let’s band together Happy Holidays! - Terri From Jayson Myers on November 3, 2006 at 2:33 PM
I am sort of a fan of the country bears (but not the movie) and my family loves our time w/ them every Christmas. What a huge disappointment. We always spend an extended weekend at Disney for the holidays (Jacksonville) and it is a shame one of our Christmas favs will be gone. It is missed already! hey sry for the double post but is it conformed that it will not be there? From Diana Weiss on November 5, 2006 at 2:37 PM
Unfortunetely, all three of my boys are afraid of these bears. My oldest, 8, didn't like the movie and they won't give them a chance. I would love to see the show some day if it stays.
