Jimmy Buffett goes after Six FlagsBy Robert Niles
The New York Post's Page Six gossip column reports this morning that singer Jimmy Buffett is claiming copyright infringement against Six Flags over the theme park chain's "Carrothead Club." Published: October 1, 2007 at 11:31 AM The Six Flags club is for kids and takes its name from the chain's carrot-chomping Bugs Bunny mascot. But the name is too close to "Parrotheads," Buffett's fan club, for Buffett's comfort. Buffett, of course, has a deal with Universal Orlando, which houses one of Buffett's Margaritaville restaurants at CityWalk.

Love him too! Love his food (Margaritaville and Cheeseburger in Paradise), but he doesn't have a case in my opinion. It could be argued that he could complain on any "head" name! Though Carrot and Parrot do rhyme, hmmmm From Franki Brock on October 1, 2007 at 3:05 PM
I love him but sorry jimmy you dont have a case! Go Yankees!!! From Robert Niles on October 1, 2007 at 4:00 PM
Put the kids' "Carrothead Club" next door to the grown-ups' "Parrothead Bar," and everyone's happy. Just send the five-percent check for the idea to me via TPI HQ. ;-) From James Adams on October 3, 2007 at 9:33 AM
That's pretty funny. His lawyers probably know they don't have a case either. But, this is most likely a legal maneuver to send out the message that they will sue anybody for anything that treads near his highly lucrative name recognition. Afterall, his name is his retirement. I’m wondering when the comedian Carrot top will also claim infringement. From Robert OGrosky on October 2, 2007 at 7:34 PM
I cant stand him or his music, and this idiotic lawsuit just shows more proof that he is a total moron!!!! From Rob P on October 3, 2007 at 1:59 AM
The Lawsuit may be crazy..........but it's great PR. By the way......holidays don't get much better than sitting out on the porch at Margaritaville sipping..well...margaritas obviously ! Bring back the Volcano !! From Lee Mak on October 3, 2007 at 8:32 AM
Idiotic, eh? Swarthy folk be negative blogging about Jimmy. Moron says he, pirate says I...and proudly. Let him pillage his just rewards; It will make people think twice about biting an empire that took 30 years to build. Please listen to more than just the "Margaritaville" national anthem...You just might like the slice of madness he has created. How can sold-out crowds around the world be wrong? Fruitcakes Unite!!!
