Vote of the week: 2008 travel plans
The New Year approaches... and theme parks are thinking about how much money they'll make off us next year. ;-)
So, what will it be? Do you envision hitting the parks more, or less, often in 2008?
Fill in the details about your 2008 travel plans, in the comments. Happy New Year!
this year my husband and i went orlado in the 2008 we planning to go california and hit disneyland and knot berry farm. we dont have any interest in visit universal studio.
Our plans are to visit Busch Gardens Europe and that surrounding area and visit Hershey Park. While we're there, we plan to tour Washington DC and hit Six Flags in Maryland and we also plan to make a pit stop in Philadelphia. Thinking about a "surprise" trip to Disney World next Christmas Break, but wanting to wait to go back after Universal Florida opens Harry Potter so we can do it all on that same trip.
My friend offered to pay my way to Universal Orlando in January to take her son to IOA and USF while she attends a conference. Twist my arm!
I forgot about carowinds, I'll probably dtop their on my way to Myrtle.
We are looking forward to a HUGE 2008! As Orlando residents we are planning a big year.
I will be going to Disney World for Spring Break and after Graduation! Also the home Fav. SFGA with its Dark Knight Coaster!
I'll be taking some time off in April/May, and I'm thinking about another BGA/SWF/Aquatica/BGE round-robin trip. The last one was great! We'll be skipping SFGA, however, because we frankly didn't enjoy it!
Cedar Fair Road Trip to include:
Two weeks. Mexico. November. The thought is especially attractive at this moment due to the disgusting weather the northwest is currently getting hammered with.
Plan to hit Cedar Point for the first time in June for a week. Then in July going up to Hershey since I haven't been there in a few years & my buddy has never been. Also, gonna use my Cedar Fair season pass & try out Dorney Park in May since I haven't been there either. And of course, gonna continue to hit up the parks we do every year (BGE, Kings Dominion, SFA, SFGA)
I'm so jealous of all you East Coast people. We have to travel 16-plus hours to get to any type of theme park. We are dying to get to Cedar Point and I imagine that will be our trip after doing Hershey Park, etc. For us though, we have to fly to get to the really good parks, with the exception of California which is still about a 15-16 hour drive :(.
Santa brought us Six Flags Passes as well as Cedar Platinum.
My 2008 plans depend on how the theme parks continue their "progress" plans.
Im glad to say we will be visiting more theme parks this year, yeah!!!!
Happy New Year
