Our plans are to visit Busch Gardens Europe and that surrounding area and visit Hershey Park. While we're there, we plan to tour Washington DC and hit Six Flags in Maryland and we also plan to make a pit stop in Philadelphia. Thinking about a "surprise" trip to Disney World next Christmas Break, but wanting to wait to go back after Universal Florida opens Harry Potter so we can do it all on that same trip. My friend offered to pay my way to Universal Orlando in January to take her son to IOA and USF while she attends a conference. Twist my arm! I'll be spending a week in May at Cedar Point, make a one-day trip to Canada's Wonderland in June, pop in on Carwinds sometime later in the summer, and hope to hit both Knott's "Scary" Farm and Disneyland in October. And the planning has just begun... From Danny Melillo on December 29, 2007 at 5:40 AM
I forgot about carowinds, I'll probably dtop their on my way to Myrtle. From TH Creative on December 29, 2007 at 8:36 AM
We are looking forward to a HUGE 2008! As Orlando residents we are planning a big year. We will be at the opening of Aquatica. We will breakout our annual waterpark passes and hit Typhoon and Blizzard. As the spouse of a Disney employee we will use the Maingate pass to hit all of the Walt Disney World parks. Then in July, we are travelling west to San Diego where we will hit the Comic-Con convention. After the convention we are gonna jump on Higway 5 up to Anaheim where we have reservations at Disney's Grand Californian hotel. Three days there will give us time at Disneyland and California Adventure It's gonna be a great '08 with us hitting the nation's best water parks and theme parks. I will be going to Disney World for Spring Break and after Graduation! Also the home Fav. SFGA with its Dark Knight Coaster! From Larry Zimmerman on December 29, 2007 at 9:14 AM
I'll be taking some time off in April/May, and I'm thinking about another BGA/SWF/Aquatica/BGE round-robin trip. The last one was great! We'll be skipping SFGA, however, because we frankly didn't enjoy it! From Ryan Traylor on December 29, 2007 at 8:55 PM
Cedar Fair Road Trip to include: Kings Dominion along with Hershey Park, maybe some east coast SF parks. and the hometown highlight: Knotts From Bruce Lane on December 30, 2007 at 11:38 AM
Two weeks. Mexico. November. The thought is especially attractive at this moment due to the disgusting weather the northwest is currently getting hammered with. Besides old haunts (Xcaret and Xel Ha), my lady and I are going to try for Isla Mujeres, and perhaps Cozumel as well if we have time. I'm actually going to ignore my own advice from my past trip reports (specifically, leave the laptop and cellphone at home), and will be traveling with my laptop. This way, thanks to the freebie Internet hookup at our hotel, I will be able to post a near-live 'travelogue' to the board while things are still fresh in memory. Happy travels to the lot of you. ;-) From Lawrence Smith on December 30, 2007 at 12:07 PM
Plan to hit Cedar Point for the first time in June for a week. Then in July going up to Hershey since I haven't been there in a few years & my buddy has never been. Also, gonna use my Cedar Fair season pass & try out Dorney Park in May since I haven't been there either. And of course, gonna continue to hit up the parks we do every year (BGE, Kings Dominion, SFA, SFGA) From Deidre Dennis on December 30, 2007 at 3:07 PM
I'm so jealous of all you East Coast people. We have to travel 16-plus hours to get to any type of theme park. We are dying to get to Cedar Point and I imagine that will be our trip after doing Hershey Park, etc. For us though, we have to fly to get to the really good parks, with the exception of California which is still about a 15-16 hour drive :(. Santa brought us Six Flags Passes as well as Cedar Platinum. (We have 2 six flags parks in CA(Magic Mountain, & Discovery Kingdom) as well as 3 Cedar parks(Great America, Gilroy Gardens, & Knotts Berry Farm). For these CA boys that means a little midwestern travel is in order for 08. See you there! (Those numbers don't include the water parks, attached to the thrill parks). My 2008 plans depend on how the theme parks continue their "progress" plans. 2007 was the first year I bought an annual pass to Universal Orlando, as I was starting to go down there more often. However, they have not made me to big a fan as of late. Back to the Future is one of my favorite movie series of all time, and the closure of that ride really struck a nerve. Granted I am a fan of the Simpsons as well, but BTTF is a classic, and there was plenty of other space they could put a Simpsons attraction. Now I hear there are rumors that the Terminator will close, which to me, again ranks up their with BTTF. I am already debating whether or not to renew my pass, and if that happens, I guarantee you it will be a while before I set foot in USF again. From Robert OGrosky on January 1, 2008 at 9:46 AM
Im glad to say we will be visiting more theme parks this year, yeah!!!! We will hit the parks we hit every year, And we will be going to FLA this Dec., so we will be visiting these parks also And I plan also on visting for the first time Little Amerika park which is a small park outside of Madison Wisc. that I have never been too but has I think 5 coasters including a wooden coaster that opened at the end of last year.
