'Cats in the waterBy Robert Niles
Theme park visits are a staple of the PR run-up to bowl games in any community (such as Southern California and Central Florida) which hosts one of these post-season college football match-ups.Published: December 29, 2008 at 1:10 PM Typically, I don't bother covering these photo ops, since they're more about promoting the football game than providing any insight to potential theme park visitors. But I definitely make an exception when my Northwestern Wildcats are involved! Northwestern is in San Antonio to play Missouri in the Alamo Bowl tonight. The folks at SeaWorld San Antonio just sent along pics of the Cats' visit last week. ![]() ![]() ![]() Ah, yes, the requisite SeaWorld splash. I remember that moment well. Go U, Northwestern!

Robert, as much as I'd like you to get your wish of beating Mizzou - as a fan of TPI that currently works for Mizzou - I'm going to have to hope that Chase Daniels has an excellent showing to end his collegiate career. And that would be hard to do without defeating the Wildcats. BTW, thank you (and James Rao) for adding Worlds of Fun to the site. It really is a great little park that just keeps improving. FWIW, while I root for Northwestern, I do so with no expectation of actually winning this or any other game. I learned that from my time as a fan in the dark era before 1995. This way, I find myself often pleasantly surprised by NU games, and rarely disappointed.
That said, I really, really want them to beat Missouri. I hope they read Malcolm Gladwell's most recent piece in the New Yorker.
