A stunt performer fell from a rope and was injured during an afternoon performance of The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad show at Universal's Islands of Adventure on Friday.

The incident was first reported on our Accident Watch page by a Theme Park Insider reader:

The very begining of the adventures of sinbad show the actor which we assumed was sinbad started from a highwire slide from the stage to a platform and fell into the audience and partially on stage props located in the middle of the audience as well... the cord he swong down from snapped and fell at least 1 1/2 stories from mid air into the stands..once that had happened the audience was removed immediately and nothing was said afterwards.

No word yet on the performer's condition.

He is OK, broken wrist... but OK, it could have been much worse!
