Many openings at theme parks this weekend

By Robert Niles
Published: April 3, 2009 at 12:16 PM
Regional theme and amusement parks are opening across the country this month. In addition, I wanted to draw your attention to three openings this weekend at parks popular with Theme Park Insider readers.

  • The long-awaited return of the Big Thunder Barbecue at Disneyland, now with character dining.

  • A new sea lion and otter show at Sea World San Diego: Sea Lions LIVE. This one includes spoofs of American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

  • The opening of the new Sesame Street Forest of Fun children's play land at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Reader reviews welcomed and encouraged, as always.

Sea World always does an excellent job with their Sea lion shows and this one sounds like its gonna be funny and entertaining. Can't wait to see it. Big Thunder BBQ was one of the best dining options in Disneyland and I'm glad its back.

Ok, it rained and snowed for SFGA's third day open. Not too great. Then again, the White Sox game was cancelled today :(
