Disney World prepares for Hall of Presidents reopening

June 24, 2009, 2:15 PM · Disney World's prepping for its big Fourth of July weekend press event - the reopening of the Magic Kingdom's Hall of Presidents.

I've heard that Disney has invited annual passholders to a preview this Sunday, June 28. If any Theme Park Insider readers attend, please, post photos and observations here on the Blog Flume.

Meanwhile, Disney's released some details (though not photos yet) to our friends at the Orlando Sentinel.

The big news is, of course, the addition of Barack Obama to the Hall. But there's new narration to the show, a shorter intro film and a revamped roll call of the presidents, as well.

I'll see it in late August.

June 28, 2009 at 6:09 AM · Early morning thought: Disney could probably make buckets of money for offering visitors the opportunity to throw things (cream pies? Superballs? Other less-mentionable items?) at whatever figure of George Bush (junior) they decide to install.

Heh... Kind of like the old carnival games. Assign bonus points to different parts of the figure's anatomy. Be kind of hard on the maintenance department, though...

Happy travels.
