The parade of silly theme park hats

By Robert Niles

I suspect that we are not the only family that finds great entertainment in going to theme park hat stores and taking many, many pictures.

Behold, the parade of silly hats... beginning, appropriately enough:

The Mad Hatter

Sorcerer's Apprentice

Happy Birthday

Buzz and Zurg

Pioneer bonnet

Evil Leprechaun

Hamburger Head

Parrot Head

This is my all-time favorite silly hat photo. Look at the eyes...

So, Robert, where are you in the silly hat parade?

Those are great. :) But is it bad that I recognize all the BGE hats, and the fact that you're at the shop just outside Big Bad Wolf (RIP)? Looks like lots of fun. I'll have to remember this trick of taking pictures next time I go.

I thought there were 4 people on this trip! I count only 3.

I wonder who the third is and where he was?

Hey, someone's gotta take the pictures....

BTW, I thought I'd leave it to readers to ID where the hats were from. And it looks like you've got it: First five are from Mad Hatter shop in Fantasyland at Disneyland. The new two are from Dollywood. Final three are from outside the BBW in Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

The leprechaun hat/facial expression is the best!
When I think of all the people who try these hats on and don't buy them, it skeeves me out. Your family looks a lot less skeevy than some of the people I've seen in the Mad Hatter!
