Walt Disney World announced today the birth of two baby giraffes at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Bolo was born to Big Girl on Oct. 12 and Bruehler was born to Aibuni on Oct. 5. Both calves stand about six feet tall, about a third of the height they could reach as grown-ups.

They might end up at Animal Kingdom Lodge because the last time I was there about a year ago, they were hoping that the animals would mate more often to have a bigger population at the Resort. Its two different places (of course AK is not connected to AKL). However, they are both taken are of by more or less the same people.
