Disney releases video of new Lincoln animatronicBy Robert Niles
Disney today released a new promotional video, providing a first look at the most life-like facial expressions yet created for a Disney animatronic. It's the new Abraham Lincoln for the soon-to-reopen Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln at Disneyland.Published: November 17, 2009 at 12:47 PM The close-up of the new Lincoln's face is at the end of the video. Wow.

Stunning. Great find. Almost creepily real. From James Rao on November 17, 2009 at 4:03 PM
Amazing detail. Most impressive. Despite all the shake-ups at Disney of late, WDI just keeps raising the bar a couple notches at a time. And the best thing about bringing back the Lincoln attraction is that there won't be any of that embarrassing booing that occurs with the much more polarizing Obama, Bush, and Clinton animatronics at the Hall of Presidents. Everyone likes Lincoln - except John Wilkes Booth, I guess. From Anthony Murphy on November 17, 2009 at 8:55 PM
Funny you should say that Rao. I have heard many who have been in a show where Obama is booed. Honestly, just with Bush, its pointless. Its just a robot (or animatronic :) )
I do personally like the old format a bit better, but still amazing. From James Rao on November 18, 2009 at 3:59 AM
It is not about skin color (black or white) it is about party color (red or blue). Sadly, our nation is very divided and has been for quite some time now. And for the most part, the economy sucks, war sucks, the President (blue or red) gets blamed for everything, and a lot of folks today never learned any manners. No one should boo at a good show, regardless of the actor! What could be more tacky? And besides, all that Obama booing in HOP disturbs my nap! The only attraction at Magic Kingdom where a guy can get any sleep now is on the Jungle Snooze! =) From 151.197.200.186 on November 18, 2009 at 3:16 PM
I'm sure Valerie Edwards had a lot to with this before she ways laid off with Tim Delaney for fighting for quality. (Edwards has head of the Sculpture department at WDI) From Joshua Counsil on November 19, 2009 at 8:59 AM
When I witnessed the new Hall of Presidents, everybody was very quiet and respectful. Honestly, people have booed Obama? I thought he was the world's most popular man?
