Quote of the day...By Robert Niles
"There are certain days that remind me of why I ran for this office. And there are moments like this, when I pardon a turkey and send it to Disneyland." - President Barack ObamaPublished: November 25, 2009 at 1:17 PM "Thanks to interventions of Malia and Sasha, because I was planning to eat this sucker, [this turkey] will also be spared this terrible, and delicious, fate," the President said. You can see "Courage," the pardoned Thanksgiving turkey, at Disneyland Park tomorrow, when it serves as Grand Marshal of the park's afternoon parade. After that, Courage and its alternate, Carolina, will move to Big Thunder Ranch.

We can all salute Courage by hoisting our "Disney" purchased turkey legs as he passes by! From Andy Guinigundo on November 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM
Watch the youtube video - looks like the Pres is a bit reluctant to touch the bird, hilarious! Perhaps afraid of bird flu. I guess they don't have turkeys on the South Side of Chicago. I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw this pop up on Yahoo! Always reminds me of that West Wing episode.
