First look at new Ferrari World roller coasterBy Robert Niles
Just got my first look (via an e-mailed photo) of the GT Racing Coaster at the new Ferrari World theme park that's opening in Abu Dhabi in the back half of 2010.Published: March 9, 2010 at 12:06 PM ![]() Here's the background on the coaster, e-mailed by my source: The GT rollercoaster is a racing coaster, which will send two competing rollercoaster carriages sprinting along twisting parallel tracks on a race to the finish line. Each coaster car is a replica of a Ferrari F430 Spider. This is one of twenty rides and attractions featured at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Okay, if I can go to Singapore, can I get myself invited to a journalism conference in the UAE this year, too? :-)

Any ride specs (e.g. speed)? From 65.12.173.131 on March 9, 2010 at 2:51 PM
If you go to the website(Robert posted it) it claims it will have the world's fastest coaster and it seems the one pictured on Robert's post is not it. The park video also includes many racing simulators, go kart type attractions, and dark rides about cars. Other attractions include a drop zone, soarin over italy( the ride system looks the same as epcot's), a miniland italy(except without the lego), a car water ride, and the two coasters( launching one like Kingda Ka(world's fastest), and the racing one on the post). That thing is too pretty to ride! Is this going outside in the elements or just in the garage? This article has been archived and is no longer accepting comments.
