You can click the links below for a full description of each ride, along with comments from other Theme Park Insider readers. Or just click to watch the on-ride video. (By the way, a big cheer to the PR staff at each park. In my experience, these are the best two parks in the country for providing official POV of their roller coasters.)

1. Cedar Point's Millennium Force [Intamin Giga/Mega]

vs.

5. Holiday World's The Voyage [The Gravity Group]

Please tell us in the comments why you voted the way you did.

March 30, 2010 at 9:12 AM · Real tough vote. as Millennium and Voyage are both at the head of there class. However head to head I have to go with Millennium for it's shere size and smoothness. In my opinion still the best coaster in the country.
March 30, 2010 at 9:14 AM · Millennium all the way. They are very different coasters, so it is a difficult choice, but the Millennium Force is the smoothest ride I have ever been on. And that first hill is still awesome.
March 30, 2010 at 9:19 AM · Voyage rocks!
March 30, 2010 at 9:43 AM · I sure hope The Voyage knocks MF out. MF got built up for me so much that when I finally rode it, it was a complete disappointment.
March 30, 2010 at 9:50 AM · I love The Voyage. One of the best coasters in one of the best parks ever. I was totally overwhelmed by it's power and by the sense of flight it gave me.

March 30, 2010 at 10:01 AM · Voyage is arguably the best wooden coaster on the planet... Millennium Force may not even be the best coaster at Cedar Point. The vote should be for the BEST. Go Voyage.
March 30, 2010 at 10:06 AM · Millennium Force is still the best coaster I've ever ridden. Nothing compares.
March 30, 2010 at 10:13 AM · Been on both rides multiple times. Best wooden coaster on the planet vs. best steel coaster on the planet. Not fair!! Have to go with my home park----Millenium it is!! The Voyage is awesome though....
March 30, 2010 at 10:14 AM · They are both in my top 5 and my favorite steel and wood. I have to give the nod to Voyage though. It is so out of control that I have to catch my breath at the end of each lap.
March 30, 2010 at 10:18 AM · I went with Voyage. I love MF, but like Jack, find it to be overrated. I like my coasters wild and out-of-control, and MF is too smooth to get any real thrill out of it.
March 30, 2010 at 10:22 AM · the reason I choose the voyage or the force is because I am so scared of heights that I tried both of them and I was less scared on the voyage because it is not just about heights. They have speed, turns and yes the height but there is so much fun and you just forget about everything while you are on the ride. I love holiday world's theme park it self. They have great prices for admission, things to do for all kinds of ages. The food prices are great, friendly staff and the rides are great. That is why I prefer holiday world over any other theme park.
March 30, 2010 at 10:34 AM · seems it should be a little closer than this...
March 30, 2010 at 10:35 AM · Voyage for the win!!! GO Voyage! I love the airtime on that coaster. No disrespect to MF though.
March 30, 2010 at 10:38 AM · Have to agree with Jack and Joshua, after the first drop, Millennium is like any other out and back, faster, but overrated, so I went with Voyage.
March 30, 2010 at 10:51 AM · A very difficult choice. Ravine Flyer II (the "mini" Voyage) is actually my favorite wooden coaster, while Millennium Force is my #1 steel. I tend to prefer smoother rides -- yay for B&M -- so that's one reason I put RVII ahead of Voyage, and hence in this poll, MF also ahead of Voyage. But don't get me wrong, Voyage is incredible, and I'll be very interested to see how the new Timberliner trains make a difference when I go there this year.
March 30, 2010 at 11:12 AM · The Voyage all the way!!! Airtime is magnificent!! The 90 degree banked turns are awesome and the underground signature "Triple Down" is a REAL TREAT!! Voyage hands down although I'm not sure it's a very fair comparison, wood vs. steel? VOYAGE ALL THE WAY!!!
March 30, 2010 at 11:30 AM · MF is the BEST coaster in the world, leaps and bounds ahead of Voyage. The Voyage is slow, rough, and suffers from big hill envy. MF all the way.
March 30, 2010 at 11:46 AM · I've been on the Voyage a few times, and I can say seeing that first hill and getting up the courage to get on it every time is why I want to get on it again. The ride is amazing, and doesn't lose it's speed and excitement until you actualy exit the coaster. Even then, the tingles of the thrill linger as you walk away.

March 30, 2010 at 11:55 AM · Millennium Force 100% all the way. Nothing compares!
March 30, 2010 at 12:07 PM · there is a big differance between the smoothness of a steel coaster and a wood coaster. But the air time on the voyage is the best by far. It may not be as smooth as the MF but still a much better ride. GO VOYAGE!!!
March 30, 2010 at 12:18 PM · Both rides are excellent, and comparing steel to wood is really wrong (apples to oranges), but I vote for the Voyage. Even after multiple rides, the Voyage still terrifies. It just doesn't get old.
March 30, 2010 at 12:37 PM · As many have said, I like them both, but the sheer joy on MF from start to finish takes it over the top. And, I think Voyage is on top b/c HW is posting it on FB and I haven't seen CP do that for Millennium (or any of their coasters in this contest).
March 30, 2010 at 12:42 PM · Millenium Force is the best steel coaster..period!
March 30, 2010 at 12:43 PM · Thie is only one real roller coaster, they have to be wooden ones. The rough, out of your seat, out of control, is the only way to go.Way to go Voyage you rock!
March 30, 2010 at 1:19 PM · Since it is March Madness, my input is in my best Dick Vitale voice: "Air Time Baby!" The Voyage is fast and fun and just when you think its winding down you find out that there is another 1/3 of the ride left. But what "separates" it from the rest - literally - is that every time I ride it I lift off my seat 20 to 22 different times and all other coasters are left "hanging".
March 30, 2010 at 1:40 PM · If any coaster is going to beat Millennium Force, I'm glad it's this one. Voyage is deserving of a spot in the finals. Unfortunately for Cedar Point, it doesn't seem that the fan machine ever showed up this year to vote for them. Sad to see my favorite go. If it indeed does, it's to a worthy opponent.

Go Voyage

March 30, 2010 at 1:39 PM · Wow... maybe the Voyage is not the dark horse I thought it was. I stand corrected, Derek. And, ditto, Go Voyage!
March 30, 2010 at 1:42 PM · I did not see this coming. I never thought I'd see MF lose to another coaster, especially a woodie.
March 30, 2010 at 1:55 PM · Josh, shame on you! The Voyage is not just another coaster. It is perhaps the best wooden coaster on the planet with not one moment that lacks intensity. Phenomenal ride, my friend, trust me.

And sadly, it ain't over yet... MF might be making a move...

Go Voyage, go!

March 30, 2010 at 2:12 PM · I had to go with Millennium. While I haven't ridden the Voyage, I do typically enjoy a steel coaster more, blasphemy that may be to some. And I enjoy a smooth ride. Maybe that makes me not a TRUE coaster junkie! :D
And I tried to rally some support on the CP Facebook page, but I fear I posted too late. Although this late rally could in part be because of me! :P
March 30, 2010 at 2:07 PM · Curse you!!!! ;)
March 30, 2010 at 2:32 PM · MF is all about that first drop! After that the coaster just lags for me.. There's not all that much airtime.. the overbanks are ok, but not extended wide enough to make them really interesting.. and the sense of speed is diminished when at ground level because of size and shape of the tunnels.

The Voyage just thrills from beginning to end!

March 30, 2010 at 2:34 PM · Yeah lets all vote for the underdog instead of the best coaster! That will show those Cedar Point fans!
March 30, 2010 at 3:25 PM · Wow... nice upset. The Voyage is the best wooden coaster on the planet. CP fans should feel no shame in losing to the best.

Next up: Apollo's Chariot! Gonna be a battle! ;)

March 30, 2010 at 4:23 PM · Actually, Kevin, I didn't vote for The Voyage because it was the underdog, or to piss off CP fans. I really loved CP when I visited, but Millennium wasn't my favorite coaster. Magnum XL was, and I loved every minute of it. If it had been Magnum and Voyage, I would have voted for Magnum.
March 30, 2010 at 5:35 PM · Kudos to Holiday World's PR department. The Theme Park Insider March Madness tournament was featured in their email newsletter. Obviously they were stumping for some votes, but thanks for the shout out.

I'm pulling for Voyage to win it all now. Nothing would please me more than to see a small, well run family owned park like Holiday World send all the billion dollar corporate big boys home. Voyage really is all it's cracked up to be, and it's darn sure better than Apollo's Chariot.
