February 24, 2012 at 9:00 AM · Well, I know test track is very entertaining, but in that style of game, I think TSMM is the best of the best, while test track has a few good parts but has a horrible preshow
February 24, 2012 at 9:09 AM · Would someone care to explain to me how a ride that you're able to walk onto at any point of the day is currently beating a ride where the day's allotment of fastpasses were gone by the time I got there EVERYDAY of my trip last year?
February 24, 2012 at 9:14 AM · This was hard. I love a spin on Test Track. The outdoor lap is so pleasant. I enjoy that 10 times as much as what my daughter calls Snorin' or Borin'. It's my first target when I arrive at Epcot, and Epcot is usually the first park I visit when I arrive in the middle of a day. However if I am going to be at a park first thing in the morning, I will go to DHS and try to beat the FastPass Mania. In the head-to-head vote, the imaginative gaming on TSMM won me over.
February 24, 2012 at 9:15 AM · Toy Story Mania is the most overrated ride ever.
February 24, 2012 at 9:18 AM · I went with Test Track. The waits are outrageous on both rides but at least Test Track has a single rider line to mitigate this. I also find Test Track to be an exciting ride-I enjoy the fast sequence at the end but also the "tests." The one edge Toy Story would have to me, repeatibility, is negated by the insane waits.

As for Jack's point, my opinion notwithstanding, I don't think Test Track's lead will hold up for too long.

February 24, 2012 at 9:21 AM · Test Track is the most overrated ride in all of Walt Disney World. "Wow, you mean I get to drive in a car at 40mph?! This is surely only possible at Disney World!"
February 24, 2012 at 9:25 AM · If I want to play 3D games I play my PS3, if I want an awesome themepark ride I do Test Track.
February 24, 2012 at 9:51 AM · Definatly TSM. I'll wait to judge TT when it's reimagind version is out.
February 24, 2012 at 10:11 AM · Not sure why you would compare these 2 rides. Totally different. But I do think Test Track is a bit lame and I would NEVER wait in that line again.
February 24, 2012 at 10:22 AM · Haven't been on either. Despite my unbridled passion for coasters and speed (yes, I know, Test Track isn't a coaster) I could never vote against anything Toy Story...the only movie series where the original AND sequel are both in my all-time Top Twenty. And yes, I'm talking about the FIRST sequel.

This vote is quite close..51-49 as I type.

February 24, 2012 at 10:29 AM · I'm not a fan of turning video games into attractions. I still prefer either a good thrill ride or an attraction where the ride mechanism takes you through a story being told, so Test Track wins my vote here. Besides I'm a car nut so it gets bonus points. That is not to take away from Midway Mania which is very well done and definitely added to the quality of DCA.
February 24, 2012 at 11:26 AM · I enjoy Toy Story Midway Mania, I do... but I believe it to be very overrated. But, I must say, that's due to the lines and while we're trying to decide which attraction is better from an attraction standpoint, the wait is part of the attraction for anybody who rides.

It's an amazing game ride, but I probably actually prefer Men in Black: Alien Attack at Universal Studios Orlando. Both are fantasic.

But, Test Track is a ride that thrills me.

In Epcot, it's THE must ride there over Soarin' (quite frankly, overrated as well).

February 24, 2012 at 11:42 AM · Midway Mania changed the DHS entrance scheme. After TSMM, tower of terror is not crowded early any more. Test Track needs serious development to compete with top atractions.
February 24, 2012 at 12:44 PM · Before I actually rode TSMM I too thought it seemed like a pretty lame attraction. But when I finally experienced it in 2010, it exceeded all my expectations. From the brilliant queue to the ultra efficient loading procedures to the massively fun games themselves, I never imagined the attraction would be so addictive! Don't get me wrong, I am not a Test Track hater by any means, but for me, TSMM should be the clear cut choice today.
February 24, 2012 at 1:19 PM · I voted for Test Track. While I think Toy Story is a marvel, it is a video game on moving tracks. And, if I judge it as a game, it's not that good. Oh, the queue is great, and the ride itself is enjoyable, but really, I find Test Track (even though it has not aged all that well) is still more enjoyable.

Basically, in my eyes, if I go to EPCOT, I have to ride Test Track. I do not look at Toy Story the same way.

Side note: this should be the 'break down' matchup, these two rides must be the worst rides in Disney for breaking down.

February 24, 2012 at 1:43 PM · I like Toy Story Mania, but Test Track is a more impressive ride experience overall. There's a lot more to it than just shooting at some video screens.
February 24, 2012 at 2:04 PM · I've never ridden Toy Story...frankly, not a fan of Hollywood Studios...one visit, left after less than 2 hours...layout is way too chaotic. I've always loved Test Track, still do. Does that snapshot sum up Toy Story? Doesn't seem like much for all the hype it gets.
February 24, 2012 at 3:12 PM · I like both rides, but Test track is way better than the Toy story ride. I gave up on Toy story, pulling the string. so annoying... It should just have a button to hold down. We also had to wait nearly 7 hours for our fastpass return time for Toy story!!
February 24, 2012 at 3:30 PM · I live 20 minutes away from Disneyland and I'll go to DCA for an hour to play Toy Story Midway Mania. To quote Mr. Potato Head- It's Insania!
February 24, 2012 at 4:08 PM · Dionne, some vehicles have buttons on the gun along with the string.
February 24, 2012 at 5:49 PM · Team Test Track here I do like Toy Story but I don't hold it in the high regard that most people do.
February 24, 2012 at 7:20 PM · Test track all the way!
Toy Story's wait was so not worth it...
and i don't get it,why do people keep voting for Sorin'?
It's pure boring...
February 25, 2012 at 12:30 AM · I like Test Track, but I was never a huge fan. TSMM, meanwhile, is a unique experience, still the only one of its kind in the world (interactive 3D/4D ride/game).
February 25, 2012 at 2:38 AM · This is proving a lot closer than I would have expected. With TSMM still being the comparatively new kid on the block, I figured it for the extreme front-runner. I voted for Test Track because it offers an actual ride. I like games, and a virtual reality 3D ride is pretty cool, but it really is just a nice step up from what I can do with my Wii. Test Track involved being in an unpiloted car careening around a track at speeds that feel even faster than they are. Where else are you going to get that? I'm hoping that the current re-do of the ride makes it even better.
February 25, 2012 at 6:29 AM · I loathe Test Track. There, I said it. It is so incredibly overrated - nothing makes this ride memorable or stand out. For me, it is about as exciting as going through a car wash. As a result, my vote goes to Midway Mania.
February 25, 2012 at 8:08 AM · I love both so much this was a tough one I'm goona go with toy story because is so fun to compete with your family and since I was a little kid I been a toy story numer 1 fan
February 26, 2012 at 8:10 PM · I heard Test Track was in negotiations with GM to update itself...I hope so. It has a horrible pre-show and the "music" track was so bad that after the hour-and-a-half of mindless waiting we both had migraines. That said,
the ride was very fun and even a little thrilling.

Back at Disney's new Midway, Toy Story was very exciting and competitve. The line queue is a disaster, worse than The Amazing Spiderman at IOA, but what a fun ride.

I give it up to Midway Mania...now if they could just make the rest of the rethemed midway with their new rides more fun at the beautiful newly themed pier. Well, they have World of Color and that is making the Bellagio Fountains cry.

Could they have made or more expensive and incredibly shorter attraction than The Voyages of the Little Mermaid?

HINT: Disney, look at what your partner is doing at Tokyo Disneyland, spend the money and time and make your creations a DESTINATION. That's My Mickey Moment :)

February 27, 2012 at 10:47 AM · Totally missed voting on this one, but I'm indifferent between these two. Neither is particularly exciting for me, but I would have voted for TSMM despite not being a fan of it. For me it's just a glorified Wii/PS3/XBox videogame in moving chairs and wind and water.
