Christening of the Disney Fantasy a Star-studded Celebration in New York

March 6, 2012, 7:40 PM · I went up to New York for the Christening Celebration for Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, the Fantasy last week. The event included a show headlined by Jerry Seinfeld and emceed by Neil Patrick Harris. Marian Carey, as the appointed godmother for the ship, did the christening honors. There were also performances by the casts of the three shows that will play in repertory aboard the ship. The Fantasy sailed in to Port Canaveral, its home, today. It will have its maiden voyage on March 31. Here's a video of some of the sights and sounds.

I got to see all stateroom levels, and every single one of them were impressive. The balconies were great, the huge porthole windows in an ocean view stateroom were a great surprise, and even the inside staterooms had a live video feed of what is outside your stateroom with a little Disney flare. I fully intend on sailing on the Fantasy when I have a free moment for it. Bravo Disney you did a great job here
