Disneyland makes June 15 opening official for Cars Land, Buena Vista StreetWritten by Robert Niles
Disneyland today made official the poorly kept "secret" that Disney California Adventure's expansion will open on June 15.Published: March 7, 2012 at 4:01 PM That's the day that everyone will "officially" get access to the new Buena Vista street entry plaza and the new Cars Land, including Radiator Springs Racers. I would expect some soft openings, at least for Cars Land, in the days leading up to the press debut on June 14. Disneyland today released a new promo video, with plenty of construction footage from behind the walls at California Adventure: Check out our recent Cars Land construction update from last week for more photos, too.

Looks amazing! I might use this as an excuse to take an extended layover in LA on the way to somewhere else... From Dominick D on March 7, 2012 at 4:26 PM

Even if you hate Cars, you must admit the theming, if not more thorough and magnificent than WWOHP, it's just as good. From N B on March 8, 2012 at 6:14 PM
This does look pretty amazing. I loved both Cars movies... saw the second one at a drive-in movie theater built in 1961 (Cascade Drive-In outside Chicago) with the wife and kids in the convertible. It was a double feature of Cars 2 and Super 8, very cool and nostalgic. I think we saw the first Cars while at Universal, a couple years later, it was Wall-E. My favorite part of the video was the glimpse of the trolley... moving! So great to see that live. It's sometimes the small things that make me appreciate a Disney park, and I truly think the trolley is going to add so much life to DCA.
