Disney's 'Big Thunder Mountain' to Be Adapted for TVWritten by Jay R.
Saw this at work today, thought I'd pass it along:Published: November 13, 2012 at 7:56 PM Disney is adapting its Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride for a television show, making this the latest Disney theme park attraction property to make the move to the screen. Pirates of the Caribbean has been the biggest hit - by far - hauling in a billion-plus dollars for its four movies. The TV version of Thunder, to be called just "Big Thunder Mountain," will be written by Ice Age: Continental Drift's Jason Fuchs, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Fast & Furious' Chris Morgan will be the executive producer.

I hope it doesn't flop. Not sure what's the point. Will it have the goat trick? It's just a mine train ride. How will it last 1.5 hours. Must be a long ride. Maybe it'll be filmed in the classic "Earthquake" mode. 1 hour of exposition (build up), 5 minutes of earthquake, and 25 minutes of aftermath. If they don't do the "Old Man"'s "we'll be right with ya!" spiel before the commercial breaks, I see no reason to watch this. ;^)
