Universal to reveal more Diagon Alley details on January 23

Published: December 17, 2013 at 10:36 AM

Universal Orlando will reveal more details about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter during a webcast on January 23. Actor James Phelps (Fred Weasley) teased the webcast in a YouTube video the resort released this morning:

Reporters will be sent an access code to the webcast, but Universal's also allowing fans to sign up for a link to the event, too.

If you just can't wait for Universal's announcement, last May we revealed the line-up of attractions, restaurants, and shops visitors will find in Diagon Alley when it opens late this spring. Based on Universal's annual pass blockout dates and hotel rate schedules, we're guessing that the official debut will happen around June 13.

Update: Just received my "Gringotts Vault Key" from Universal Orlando!

I get Goosebumps just hearing the music....
Can't wait....

And now I am thinking when Harry tired to say Diagon Alley in the fire place at the Weasley's instead he said something like Daganally....

I bet that the people who bought tickets to the "special Harry Potter event" are going to get to see all sorts of new stuff, the luckies...

We plan to be in Orlando next fall to check this out, as well as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and completed New Fantasyland. Hopefully the craze will have died down a little by then!

In spite of what's been said about annual pass block-out dates and hotel room rate changes, does anyone else think "722" could actually be a references to the opening date (July 22nd)??

"722" has been the project code number from the beginning of this project. It's been on all the public filings and plans.
