Harry Potter Hollywood construction update: Our first look at Hogsmeade
Written by Robert Niles
You can just begin to see the skeletons of the Hogsmeade rooftops peeking over the construction walls at Universal Studios Hollywood this week.Tweet
The peaked roofs provide us with our first look at the village of Hogsmeade taking shape in Hollywood's version of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Walk around the construction site, near the bridge over to the Studio Tour, for a better look.
Continue walking onto the middle of the bridge for a clear view of the Hogwarts castle show building under construction.
Universal's made substantial visual progress in the past month when compared with these Harry Potter construction photos from just three weeks ago.
Of course, Hogsmeade isn't the only new land under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood. The park's started vertical construction on the Springfield land in front of The Simpsons Ride, which will stand directly behind Hogsmeade in the park.
We talked yesterday about what we're expecting to find in Springfield when it opens in Spring 2015. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will open sometime in 2016.
