Weekly Top 10: The Top Quick-Service Restaurants in Orlando

April 13, 2015, 3:05 PM · Quick-service restaurants don't have to be an afterthought for hungry theme park visitors who didn't make advance reservations for a sit-down meal. Our Top 10 this week features several restaurants that deserve to be considered attractions on their own. Based on the collective ratings of Theme Park Insider readers, here are our Top 10 quick-service restaurants in the Orlando-area theme parks.

10. Yorkshire County Fish Shop
Epcot

Fish n' chips will make several appearances on our list, starting with this walk-up window in Epcot's United Kingdom pavilion.

9. Columbia Harbour House
Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Want more seafood choices? Then head to the Magic Kingdom for this colonial-themed favorite. Don't forget to head upstairs to eat, grabbing one of the window seats for a delightful view of the Magic Kingdom.

8. Bumblebee Man's Taco Truck
Universal Studios Florida

One of Universal Orlando's new Simpsons-themed eateries, Bumblebee Man's tacos wins raves for its carne asada and Korean beef tacos.

7. Fast Food Boulevard
Universal Studios Florida

But if you want the full range of Simpsons-inspired grub, head inside the food court and choose from among the selection of Krusty Burgers, Cletus' chicken and waffle sandwiches, Frying Dutchman fried seafood, and Flaming Moes.

6. Flame Tree Barbecue
Disney's Animal Kingdom

The Flame Tree's been down for refurbishment over the winter, but fans still vote this as the go-to choice for food inside Animal Kingdom.

5. The Three Broomsticks
Universal's Islands of Adventure

Did we mention that Theme Park Insiders love their fish n' chips? We love them almost as much as we love Harry Potter. Combine the two, and you're solidly in our Top 10.

4. Tangierine Cafe
Epcot

Insiders long have known that Morocco's the place to go in Epcot for a great meal with little or no wait, whether it's the fancy, sit-down restaurant in back or this tasty quick-service counter in front, where you'll find a variety of Mediterranean wraps and Iron Man's favorite, shawarma.

3. Sleepy Hollow Refreshments
Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Don't miss the spicy chicken and waffle sandwich at the walk-up window located on the Liberty Square side of what remains of the castle moat in the Magic Kingdom.

2. Les Halles Boulangerie and Patisserie
Epcot

The (relatively) new quick service restaurant in Epcot's France pavilion well represents its host country with a delightful selection of pastries, sandwiches, quiche, and salads.

1. The Leaky Cauldron
Universal Studios Florida

The newest location on our list, Diagon Alley's Leaky Cauldron tops them all for its outstanding mix of impressive setting, magical theme, and an extensive menu of British pub fare, including a variety of Harry Potter-inspired drinks, including Fishy Green Ale, Tongue Tying Lemon Squash, and, of course, the beloved Butterbeer.

April 13, 2015 at 3:46 PM · I've eaten at all of those except for Sleepy Hollow. It's a good list and most of them have food that's just about equal to the bulk of sit down theme park restaurants. My favorite is probably Flame Tree since I just love the ambiance of the seating areas while viewing the river & Everest.

April 13, 2015 at 8:11 PM · Hot Dog Hall of Fame- although technically not in a park is in Citywalk Orlando. Excellent gourmet choices of hot dogs. All of the WDW restaurants mentioned are good.

April 13, 2015 at 8:58 PM · The Columbia Harbor House second floor is a delightful place to just sit back and relax. Sea World wasn't represented on this list but Voyagers has some delicious brisket.

April 14, 2015 at 7:05 AM · Sleepy Hollow is amazing. We ate lunch and dessert there last time. I also love Columbia Harbour House, especially the upstairs when it isn't crowded. Tangerine Cafe was the big surprise for me and is actually a good value too.

April 14, 2015 at 7:15 AM · I have to give a shout-out Monsters Cafe. It may not have the best food - though its offerings have improved tremendously lately - but its theming is absolutely wonderful. We always make it a point to stop in at least once per trip, even if it's just to get a drink and quick snack, simply for the pleasure of visiting the themed rooms and enjoying the clips of old monster movies.

April 14, 2015 at 8:50 AM · Great list but I'd like to mention a couple that didn't make the top 10:
Katsura Grill in Epcot's Japanese pavilion - was always a favorite of mine when I lived in Orlando. The menu continued to change, and a favorite item was dropped, but the outdoors dining area feels hidden and removed from the crowds, so I still enjoy going there.
Thunder Falls on Jurassic Park in Islands of Adventure - The menu features ribs, chicken roast corn and salads...very similar to The Three Broomsticks. They also feature a pulled rotisserie chicken salad that is a delicious and filling item. The dining room is large with high ceilings and huge windows that open onto the drop at River Adventure.
Whimpy’s Hamburgers on Sweet Haven Island at Islands of Adventure – This is the only theme park restaurant I know of that features not a Drive-Through, but a Float-Through window. Watch boats being dispatched at Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges. Just after they leave the dock they drift past Whimpy’s. Look close and you will see that Whimpy built a float through window down at river level so hungry riders can pick up a burger or twenty as they begin their journey.

April 14, 2015 at 9:54 AM · I agree on Thunder Falls. The food is very good with large portions and the prices are reasonable. Plus the view of JP River Adventure boats hitting the surf at Thunder Falls is priceless....I've never seen Wimpy's open though. They didn't even open it with the level 10 spring break crowds last week.
