Sure, the Adventurer's Club has been closed at the Walt Disney World Resort since 2008, and the plans for Disney Springs called for its demolition, but so long as the building remained intact, many fans carried just that tiny spark of hope that one day, some Disney executive might think, "What the heck? Let's bring it back."

Alas.

So, one last time, everyone:

We climb the highest mountains,
just to get a better view.
We plumb the deepest oceans,
cause we're daring through and through.
We cross the scorching deserts,
martini in our hands.
We ski the polar ice caps,
in tuxedo looking grand.
We are reckless, brave, and loyal,
and valiant to the end.
If you come in here a stranger,
you will exit as a friend.

June 24, 2015 at 11:19 AM · Bizarre. Holding out hope for a building that serves no purpose. Pleasure Island won't return so the Adventurer's Club won't return. I thought Trader Sam's was a substitute Adventurer's Club. The new Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar was another substitute for those that like to hang out amid dated relics.

June 24, 2015 at 5:53 PM · Sad news. I loved checking out the Adventurers club. I thought the cast there were some of the best improv people I ever witnessed at Disney. I truly hope they resurrect the idea in some form in the future

June 25, 2015 at 1:16 PM · It makes me very sad to see how many readers of this site never got the chance to visit The Adventurer's Club. It was less about the place, and more about the people who brought the club to life. Pleasure Island as it once was had some remarkably unique forms of entertainment. The Comedy Warehouse, Mannequin's dance hall and The Adventurer's Club were my favorite spots. I really hope that once Disney Springs is finished there are some spots that have as much unique entertainment value as those three spots did. I'm just afraid it will be another collection of Sun-glass Huts, Starbucks and Brighton jewelry stores.

June 28, 2015 at 4:36 PM · If you missed the Adventurer's Club then I feel bad for you. This was a really fun adult-minded place with smart, playful, and unexpected touches. The library was also a great deal of fun. The drinks were great too. It had really nice touches and plenty of detail...its only drawback was that it was a bit too small for the amount of pleasure-seekers that attended. This would be a really cool place to be Re-ImAgINeD next to Expedition Everest. This is one Disney attraction that should NOT be laid-2-rest.

July 1, 2015 at 4:03 AM · I've often wondered what Disney's reasoning was for the closure of The Adventurers Club. Here we had a wonderfully funny and unique experience in the Disney canon. It had widespread appeal and provided a thoroughly enjoyable evening. If it was because Pleasure Island had to go then I think Disney have "thrown the baby out with the bath water".
The Club could have been slightly re-imagined if needed ( personally I thought the nostalgic music hall style still had an audience) and re-located to another part of Disney property. My view is that guests have been denied the opportunity to experience something different and that's sad in itself.
Ladies and gentlemen.......Colonel Critchlow Sunchbench has left the building and the building has been demolished.
Kungaloosh !!
