How Will Disneyland Juggle Christmas with its Diamond Celebration This Year?

September 14, 2015, 1:43 PM · The Disneyland Resort has announced its plans for the upcoming Christmas holiday season, showing fans how the parks will juggle their traditional holiday festivities with this year's 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration events.

Christmas on Buena Vista Street

The resort will continue playing its three new evening shows for the 60th: the Paint the Night parade, Disneyland Forever fireworks, and World of Color - Celebrate! show. Paint the Night will necessarily take the evening parade slot at Disneyland, sliding the "Christmas Fantasy" parade into the afternoon parade slot. Over at Disney California Adventure, the park will show the new version of World of Color in some, as-yet-unannounced rotation with the "Winter Dreams" version of World of Color. The park can change the show from night to night and will announce in the weekly show scheduled which version will play on any given night.

The only casualty of the Diamond Celebration is Disneyland's traditional holiday fireworks show, which will not run this year as the park will stick with the wildly popular Disneyland Forever show.

Elsewhere in Disneyland, it's the same as last year, with “it’s a small world” Holiday, Haunted Mansion Holiday, and Jingle Cruise headlining. At Disney California Adventure, Olaf's Snow Fest returns from last spring's "Frozen Fun" line-up, joining ¡Viva Navidad! as the main in-park special attractions.

"Holidays at the Disneyland Resort" runs from Nov. 13 through Jan. 6, 2016.
