Walt Disney World Opens I-4 Exit Ramp to Disney Springs

October 10, 2015, 9:08 PM · Walt Disney World has opened the new access ramp from Interstate 4 to the Disney Springs parking structure.

To use this new ramp, take the Epcot exit from southbound (okay, it's technically westbound) I-4, but instead of continuing all the way to the Buena Vista Drive exit, you can now take the Disney Springs exit after pulling off I-4.


The Disney Springs ramp leads you straight into the area's parking, with a choice of going into the parking structure or heading behind the Cirque du Soleil theater into the surface parking lot.

The new ramp shaves several minutes off the old approach to the shopping and dining area, and allows cars headed to Disney Springs from southbound Interstate 4 to stay off Buena Vista Drive entirely as they come in to park.

October 11, 2015 at 5:12 AM · I'm taking a cruise next spring with a short stop-over at Port Canaveral on one of the days. Not enough time to visit any of the parks, but I figured we would rent a car, drive to Downtown Disney...sorry, Disney Springs...walk around, do some shopping, have a nice meal, and head back to the boat.

With only an 8 hour window, anything that shaves off several minutes on my rather tight time-line is appreciated.

Now, I just hope it's all open by early March (<-- Doubtful) It wasn't a lot of fun last February.

October 13, 2015 at 8:14 AM · I was over there last week and it can be interesting when you come out of the garage. One time, I came out the way I came in with a nice easy exit onto Buena Vista Drive where it was easy to take a left towards Hotel Plaza Blvd. The next time (and of course this was in the dark in a monsoon) they sent us out another way on to Buena Vista Drive heading towards Hollywood Studios and Caribbean Beach. If I hadn't been a local I would have gotten totally lost, it was that confusing. As it was, I saw a lot of confused tourists around me trying to figure out where they were going.

Disney, you need to have better signage coming out of there or you are going to have accidents galore.
