Tuesday round-up: Frontera Cocina opens & Tyler Oakley does Universal

June 28, 2016, 8:39 PM · Celebrity chef Rick Bayless' Frontera Cocina opened at Disney Springs today. Featuring Bayless' Mexican-inspired cuisine, with dishes such as Oaxacan Red Chile Chicken and Salsa Verde Shrimp Enchiladas Suizas, the table service restaurant is under the direction of Executive Chef Stephen Hicks. For visitors looking for something quicker than a sit-down meal, Frontera Cocina is offering a quick-service taco counter outside, as well.

Inside the parks, Disney released a video today in which Imagineer Joe Rohde talks viewers through the design of the new Tiffins table-servce restaurant on Discovery Island at Disney's Animal Kingdom, explaining some of the visual details that diners will find, as well as the inspiration behind them.

Finally, Universal Orlando hosted video blogger (and recent Amazing Race contestant! — Yes, I am old) Tyler Oakley to visit the parks with his mother. Here's what they did:

If you know Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, the shot progression in the video bears no resemblance to any visiting plan that any sane person would follow. (Wow, are really were bouncing around the parks!) But it's a nice little travelogue of the two Universal Orlando parks, with plenty of fun sights.
