Disney announces dates for California Adventure's spring festivals

December 6, 2018, 12:23 PM · The Disneyland Resort this morning announced the dates for its two big festivals at Disney California Adventure next spring: Lunar New Year and the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival.

Lunar New Year will run from January 25 through February 17 in 2019 at the park. The Festival Marketplaces will be back, as will Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession, which this year will feature the Three Little Pigs, in celebration of the Year of the Pig.

California Adventure's annual Food & Wine Festival will run from March 1 through April 23, expanding to eight weeks next year. The other big news is that Disney is opening the Sip and Savor Pass to all guests for 2019's festival, instead of limiting its availability to Disneyland Resort annual passholders. No pricing or menus for the Festival Marketplaces, but we will be certain to pass those along once Disney releases those.

Current visitors to Disney California Adventure can enjoy the Festival of the Holidays, which is running now through January 6. With the three festivals running pretty much back-to-back-to-back, that means DCA has its food stalls up now for five months out of the year. That's not quite to the level of Epcot's seemingly perpetual festivals, but the west coast is closing the gap.
