A twisted take on the holidays returns to Halloween Horror Nights

April 15, 2019, 1:08 PM · Universal Studios Hollywood is promoting one of its popular scare zones from last year's Halloween Horror Nights to a full-blown maze treatment. Creative Director John Murdy announced yesterday that "Holidayz in Hell" will return to the annual event as a maze this fall.

From Universal's press release this morning:

A tortured Tunnel of Love, inhabited by a crazed Cupid on a quest for hearts to break or take will make this Valentine’s Day anything but romantic; an unhinged Uncle Sam will create a sinister July 4th killerbration; treacherous turkeys will gobble, gobble an unsuspecting family; and a sick Santa will adorn Christmas Trees with human body parts, with many other milestone killer holidays.

The maze also will feature an original score by electronic music artist Figure, twisting familiar holiday tunes.

Last week, Universal Orlando announced its second house for this year's Halloween Horror Nights — also based on original IP, Nightingales: Blood Pit. The first maze/house announced for each event was the return of Netflix's "Stranger Things."

Halloween Horror Nights kicks off at Universal Studios Hollywood on Friday, September 13, following the event's debut a week earlier at Universal Studios Florida. Tickets are not yet on sale for the Hollywood event, but you always can get regular admission tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood on our Universal Studios Hollywood tickets page.
