Walt Disney World offers another summer ticket deal for locals

June 4, 2019, 4:52 PM · Walt Disney World is offering another ticket discount to Florida residents, to help drive attendance to its theme parks before the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios on August 29.

The Get Your Ears On Ticket is available starting today to Florida residents and includes three days of visits to any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks for $199 plus tax. A four-day ticket costs $219 plus tax. The tickets are valid through August 28 and there are no blockout dates. A Park Hopper upgrade is $35 extra on the three-day ticket and $40 more for the four-day.

Disney World earlier this year offered three- and four-day Discovery Tickets to Florida residents, for $175 and $195 plus tax, respectively. Those are available through June 27 and must be used by June 30. Disney also is offering a Summer One World ticket special, also starting today, that includes one admission each to Disney World's four theme and two water parks, for $444 plus tax. Like the Get Your Ears On Ticket, that deal is valid for use only through August 28, the day before Galaxy's Edge opens.

But the Summer One World deal is open to all Walt Disney World visitors, including those who live outside Florida, as Disney looks to entice its fans to make one more visit before the east coast installation of its Star Wars land opens.

If you are pricing a Central Florida theme park vacation this summer, we have links to deals from other theme parks available on our authorized Orlando-area attraction tickets page, too.

From 1991 to 1995, my family lived in Jacksonville, just a two-hour drive from Orlando. We soon learned of the "resident deals" and took full advantage for trips on weekends a few times a year. It was fantastic to enjoy such a great time with the parks expanding and so many additions every visit. We still feel jealous at Florida residents who can do this and great to see it continue.

As always, this is about $$, and nothing to do with attendances. How about lifting the block out dates for silver pass holders, if they really want to push up the numbers. (FWIW I have a gold pass).

This is just a kick in the teeth to all those silver pass holders who are now on a 2 month black-out period.

I'm on the silver and having Disney withdrawals. Ughhh.

I might get the waterpark after 2 pass and read a good book to compensate.

As a middle-aged, nearing retirement person who plans to move to Florida, can these specially priced tickets be used for younger, visiting grandchildren?

Nope, proof of Florida residency required for all Flordia resident passea so no out of state relatives would qualify.

I loathe the AP argument. Any Silver AP can upgrade their pass for a lot less than any of these promos. The blackout dates aren't kept a secret from anyone looking to purchase/renew an AP; it's all disclosed very clearly. So, if you're missing the parks - do it! I upgraded my daughter and just like that, problem solved.

TwoBits - you can purchase the Summer One World tickets for them; no FL residency required.
