Published: March 6, 2009 at 9:13 PMWatching the orca/killer whale show gave me goosebumps!! Here are the animals at the top of the food chain in the ocean, the predators that no animal hunts, doing flips and tricks for the trainers!! WOW!!! All the other animals are awesome but the fact that these orcas are even 'trainable' just blows my mind!!!

Funny little buggers them :)

That one trainer at the Shamu show. Va-Va-Voom!
Published: March 8, 2009 at 2:07 PMOf course I voted for Shamu.
But then I do like manatees. Especially fried light with a rice pilaf.
Published: March 8, 2009 at 2:22 PMGotta say that Puffins are my favorite animal - and there are very few places around (especially in Florida) that you can see them. Whenever I've got family or friends going to Sea World I always ask them to "say 'Hi' to the puffins for me."
Published: March 9, 2009 at 12:24 AMI have to admit that I have not seen a show since 1978, but I always thought the Killer Whale offerings were spectacular. I have to paraphrase this since the last time I saw a show, the Orca was sickly and not performing up to par. I did have the opportunity to X-ray a Dolphin in Palo Verde before they closed. His name was Pepe and he had a problem with his disks. I think they use the seals as clowns and the Dolphins and Orcas as the main attractions, but that is just me.
Published: March 9, 2009 at 8:01 AMFeeding the sting rays is the highlight of my trip to Sea World! Feeling them slurp up the fish (and sometimes your fingers by accident) is the most amazing experience in the park, especially because they seem to enjoy being touched. Not like the dolphins, who steal your fish and don't even let you pat them!
Published: March 10, 2009 at 11:28 AMHad to vote for sharks, I love all the other animals more and I hate and am terrified of sharks, but I am also facinated by them and I think they are the animal I most rarely see and would be most disapointed not to see. I am even thinking of doing the Sharks Deep Dive when I visit in November
