I've never eaten at Le Cellier, notably because the best steaks I've eaten are usually in the mid-western U.S. I think Le Cellier should either be a British Columbian or Maritime seafood-heavy restaurant. If B.C.-themed, oysters and other Pacific fare should be the focus. If Maritime-themed, salmon, lobsters, and the like are always a good choice.
One other thing - why are they serving American Zinfandel and steaks on a Canadian menu? There are many delicious Canadian wines available for import, and Alberta beef is renowned for its flavor.

Published: May 21, 2009 at 11:20 AMI used to hear raves about Le Cellier but it's suffered the same cuts (and guests receiving worse cuts of meat) as all the Disney restaurants. I think a lot of the fanaticism of Le Cellier left with some of the menu items. Was it a BBQ steak on cream cheese mashed potatoes I heard so much about?

Published: May 21, 2009 at 11:59 AMIt seems that many of the Showcase restaurants have gone downhill. Akershus used to be the best around for authenticity, and now look at it - a damn character meal. Marrakesh used to be quite good, but was rather bland when I last went - a severe lack of spice for Middle Eastern food. It seems the only decent places charge through the roof for pretty good food.
One might be better off taking the boat to the Boardwalk and eating at one of their excellent restaurants for the same price.
