Not gonna lie ... I find Twitter completely useless and rather annoying. Every once in a while, there is a tidbit that actually may be helpful, such as "5 minute wait for Pirates of the Caribbean", but most of the time I just read arbitrary tripe, like "Mickey's birthday is 3 weeks from tomorrow".

Am I alone on this?

I read through Twitter like I walk through a theme park - a power move through a mass of humanity.

I follow several hundred people, on two accounts, and skim for what looks interesting. And from time to time, I set aside a few moments to cull the list of feeds that never seem to do anything for me.

But the value of Twitter very much depends upon getting that right mix of feeds to follow. That's why I wanted to spotlight the official park feeds, with the thought that some TPI readers might find some worthy.

Also, FWIW, @sixflags is promising to post limited-time discount codes via its Twitter feed. @RealShamu has given some after-hours party invitations to its Twitter followers in the past, too, so following certain parks at this point can be an effective way to score some exclusive discounts and access.

Twitter is a huge time sink trying to find relevant and interesting information. I'd love to get Legoland updates but there's gotta be a more efficient manner than Twitter.
