Published: August 25, 2009 at 9:38 PMYeah, that's why I have an initial bad reaction to park employees wading with boats! Bad flashbacks.... :-)
Published: August 25, 2009 at 10:54 PMI'd say it was the Dream Team from the Year of a Million Dreams. Your job is to find the family sitting in the back row of the first Everest train to come in after 12:55 pm (as synced with the Atomic Clock, no less) and tell them Cinderella would like to invite them to stay in her Castle for the evening. OR whatever else your secret agent instructions told you to do.
Or would that be awesomest job?
Published: August 26, 2009 at 8:00 AMOn top of having fun, I think it would be a fun job when it is 100+ degrees and you get to be in the water :)! I would enjoy that!
Published: August 26, 2009 at 9:02 AMI think the person that follows the horses and sweeps up after them in the parade at the Magic Kingdom has to rank up there.
Published: August 26, 2009 at 9:03 AMI actually thought those attendants were really nice at Holiday World. As a matter of fact, going down one of the rides with my cousin from Florida, the attendant asked if we were having a good time (and seemed sincere). My cousin said that would never happen in Florida. YMMV
Published: August 26, 2009 at 9:21 AMI have gone to Holiday World every summer since I was about 3 years old! I loved those bumper boats, and the people are always SO FRIENDLY!
Published: August 26, 2009 at 10:07 AMI just wanted to give bonus points to the guy in the background wearing the navy blue spaghetti-strap shirt. Awesome.
Published: August 26, 2009 at 10:09 AMI have a thousand pictures just like this one above in my own family album. It's just how it is. They are happy because the park not only treats it's guests well...they treat their employees just as well. Every single employee I have talked to on our numerous visits are always so kind and dedicated.
Published: August 26, 2009 at 10:17 AMI actually worked there and I know the person in the photo! You would be absolutely suprised at how many people WANT to be put in the boats! We love that position, and would do it any day!
Published: August 26, 2009 at 10:24 AMHaving just been to Holiday World 2 weeks ago, almost EVERY bathroom trip we encountered a bathroom clean up crew (along with a wonderfully clean and stocked bathroom!) and they were always pleasant and friendly. Actually every employee I dealt with was pleasant and friendly except for the locker key girl at Surfin Safari who was not happy that I requested a our lockers be in a certain block of lockers, so that it would be easy to find for 3 kids, 2 adults and 2 senior citizens. Every other single employee was wonderful! Thanks Holiday World for a super
Published: August 26, 2009 at 1:31 PMMy daughter works in the same area (little kid rides)and absolulty loves it. Her favorite ride to work is the bumper boats. In fact she enjoyed it so much during the 2008 season that she returned for the 2009 season. They are good to their employees and this makes for happy workers. The employees are respected and appreicated, they in turn respect the management. They (management) even offer a shuttle service for their employees. We actually live 45 minutes away and with out that service we could not afford to drive her to work everyday. They (theworkers) only pay $6 a day for a round trip ticket.
Published: August 27, 2009 at 6:35 PMIt could be worse - he could be a lifeguard in the kiddie pool. These kids are safely in bumper boats!
