I thought something like this would have happened at Magic Mountain.

Again, I think it is time to give the "gangbangers at Magic Mountain" meme a rest. Yes, there were problems... nearly 10 years ago. But Magic Mountain is, as far as crowd security goes, as safe as any theme park I've visited over the past five years. And that includes all the "big" parks from Disney and Universal.

(And, for what it is worth, real gangbangers are far, far more precise that than the fools involved here.)

The shooting at SFOG reminds me of the shooting outside the entrance gates a couple years back at Paramount Canada's Wonderland.

How do you guys get Magic Mountain out of Over Georgia? The parks are on opposite sides of the country!!!

Oh, and I can't believe this happened. Alcohol should not be allowed in parks, or they should have stricter rules and limits about serving it.

I live about an hour from SFOG and believe me, the kind of people that hangs out there I'm surprised they haven't had one before this. SFOG has turned into a virtual play ground for the seedy, gang member type. The last time we were there in was full of out of control teens who basically had full run of the park to do as they pleased. No one was going to try and stop them. I know they are thinking of closing SFMM but if you ask me it wouldn't hurt to shut Georgias down to.
