It's interesting that the park doesn't contain one classic Universal attraction, like King Kong, Jaws or Earthquake. The revamped Kong section being added to USH could always be made to fit in the New York area as a standalone attraction. Otherwise I agree with your comment. It's missing an interactive dark ride, like MIB. But that doesn't stop me from checking the airfare to Singapore for next year :)

I would agree, Men in Black would be a great addition. I would like to see them do something with the lake in the middle. Boat ride, fireworks display?

I totally love this. Is it just me or does the Battlestar roller coaster look like a dueling B&M sitdown/floorless racing a B&M inverted coaster? How cool! Also, a new spin (no pun intended) on Jurassic Park! I think it's awesome they're making it a rapids ride.

When is this park slated to be opened? I might need to consider a trip to Singapore.

Here's what we wrote earlier about the Madagascar and Shrek lands for the park.

Previous commenter is correct about Jaws/Kong/Earthquake. I'm curious to see how USH revives Kong, because these classics could use a fresh breath, to get people as excited about them again as folks are about other Universal attractions.

There's also cultural tastes in play, of course. I figured that's likely what kept The Simpsons out of the park, and the shoot-'em-up element of MIB might have doomed that, too. (That might also explain the lack of Jaws/Kong/Earthquake - just not the same cultural impact as the DreamWorks 'toons or the action franchises.)

I would love to see a new King Kong attraction based on the Peter Jackson film. I still have the small 4D addition to the Studio Tour in USH to look forward to though.

But I'll hopefully check out USS sometime soon!

Looks like a great park, except they have the Pteranodon coaster. unless they can deal with capacity, there's going to be a lot of angry tourists shouting "We came all the way to Singapore for THIS!?"

I will now be in Singapore from 11 - 14 January on my way through to Europe from Australia. I think the park will not be opening until at least a week or two after those dates but if anyone can get me in, I'm happy to take photos and pass them on here as a report.

Wow, it looks fantastic! A great collection of rides, and the new take on Jurassic Park looks really interesting. Oh Singapore, why must you be so far away?
