Wow, Robert! If I'd known you were gonna put me on the front page I would have provided more pictures that showed off the park lights...and at least one photo of me guzzling down a mug of piping hot chocolate!

Thanks for posting my report...and once again, thanks for providing an avenue for my theme park addiction! =)

James, What a great review. As a frequent Silver Dollar City visitor I share your enthusiasm for this park at any time of year. Even minus the big thrill rides like Powder Keg and Wildfire, Silver Dollar City still finds a way to deliver a great family entertainment value. I have never left this park feeling like I have not gotten my money's worth. It comes down to the fact that the management of this park just gets it. Unlike most parks they are just not satisfied with good enough. We are so fortunate to have this park just a few hours away. I only wish that Worlds of Fun would do more to inspire the kind of loyalty and strong feelings from it's visitors that Silver Dollar City has earned.

Great job!

Actually suprised the park is open that late in the year. Don't they know its cooollld!

Decorating the park is something I do wish SFGA would do and I bet people would come, but perhaps because there is nothing indoors really.

Thanks, Jeff. And I agree with you: SDC is definitely the best park in the state!

And Anthony, the funny thing is that if we had traveled to SDC one week earlier, we would have been able to be part of the same Christmas Festival, but we would have experienced it in almost 60 degree weather! You just never know what it is going to be like in Missouri these days! ;)

My family went this past Saturday to SDC as well and had a wonderful time. The temp was in the 40's so we got to ride Wildfire and Powder Keg. It was our first time seeing the Christmas Carol production and I totally agree with your review - what a show!

I was suprised at how crowded the park was, but we were able to maneuver around the park ok.

I agree, SDC is so well themed for Christmas (or anytime of year) if you are anywhere in the area, you have to check it out and you will not be disapointed.
