That fingerprint payment is an awesome concept.

Really Cool!

Is it indoors or is it going to be a seasonal park?

Looks outdoors

Yeah! First Blog Flume post! Thanks for posting it, Robert.

It's outdoors and seasonal. Unfortunately, as demonstrated by the construction delays, Ottawa is not known for its good weather. This is probably why they explicitly state on their website that the park is open throughout the summer, rain or shine, and does not offer rain checks. Also, the pools are heated.

The park itself seems to be the standard fare you would expect at most themed water parks, but I thought I'd submit this article for the fingerprint system alone.

Yeah, thats what I was wondering because Canada is, well, not usually warm all year round!

But its good to see new things being put in Ottawa. Gotta put that on my list too after Holiday World!

Sounds like an interesting concept. I wonder if any parks here would start scanning fingerprints. I know my grocery store lets you do that. BTW What were the bilingual concerns?

SunnyLand Amusement Resort was the original name for the resort. However, because of the park's proximity to Quebec, and because Ottawa is an overly-sensitive government town, the name was changed to Calypso, which is a shared English-French term.
