Based on what the local and Internet news I've read, Sea World is NOT going to raise it's prices at this time....

As for Universal, friend said they moved the evening parking price from 6pm back to 7pm. Anyone know more?

A two-day park-to-park ticket is actually $134.99. But still wow. I had no idea it was that much. I looked at the prices online and it seems they are already in effect. This is why I am glad to be an annual pass holder and Florida resident. I had no idea we got that much of a discount on tickets. And Florida Resident Ticket prices do not seem to have increased.

The 134.99 price is for online (10 less than real price).

Universal pricing is funny. You can buy 4 1-park passes for the same price as 2 2-park passes. Since you could get into each park for the same day with 2 1-park passes, buying the 1-park passes gives you more flexibility.

Anyway, I picked up my 4-day 2-park passes earlier this week, anticipating that there could be increases after Disney. Will start that part of my journey on Tuesday; spent tonight at BG-Africa, which wasn't too crowded for a saturday night (was able to ride every major coaster once, including both sides of gwazi.

I did much the same thing. I tweeted earlier this week that, with the beginning of August, a Disney price increase was imminent. So as soon as Disney upped its prices, I bought my Universal tickets, knowing that it would raise prices soon, too. (We're going to IOA on Tuesday.)

Universal's increase makes sense. For that extra $3, you get Rip, Ride, Rockit and The Wizarding World of HP. That's a sensible deal. Although I'm sure Disney has done plenty to their resorts and restaurants in the last year, there really hasn't been any new worthwhile attractions that justify the increase at the parks.

Universal already increased their prices earlier in the year anticipating the HPI opening… Now because Disney had an in increase, Universal is going up for a second time this year?

I believe these parks executives communicate to each other and plan these so called increases…

I guess high unemployment is not affecting the parks in Orlando.

Did not know that Universal already raised their prices. I thought their last price increase correlated with Disney's.

Universal restructered ticket prices back in January in anticipation of Potter. Their One Day/One Park ticket stayed at $79. That ticket price was last increased back in August of 2009, following the price of Disney's One Day/One Park tickets which also climbed to $79. So Universal did not increase this ticket price twice in one calender year.

Universal did restructure their prices by raising the two or three or seven day packages for tickets, therefore they raised their prices twice in a year….

I was there in May and bought a two day package on line and I was surprised how much the “package tickets” went up…

I do not care what kind of semantics you want to use, prices went up...Twice.

Maybe Robert can start a new link to track ticket prices at the major parks..

Who's using semantics. I only ever suggested that Universal's One day/One Park ticket price would increase shortly after Disney increased theirs, and low and behold, Universal did, like I said they would. The other increases are just icing on the cake. There's still 4+ months to go, plenty of time for a 3rd increase to send everybody off the deep end.
