That Steinberg should be very proud of Disneyland Paris. It is truly the best designed MK style park I have ever seen. Very stylish!

Weak Eurodisney defense. Both the parks and the hotels attract lots of visitors now despite very high prices. But Eurodisney still makes no money. Construction costs were just to high, thats on his shoes.

Actually, theme park construction came in within a few percentage points of budget. It's the financing costs that are hurting EuroDisney now, due to the money the company had to borrow to see it through the lean early years. And that was due to the under-performing non-park stuff.

Great article. I like the frankness of Steinberg. He's a true project manager. He cuts through some of the Disney silliness, like that whole "guest" vs. "customer" bit. The guest still pays when they enter, so don't try to dance around the proper term.

I just wanted to say that these types of posts are some of my favorites... getting a small inside look at what goes on in the minds of Imagineers, Execs, Management, etc.
Wish I could have been at this panel, but maybe I'll find something at D23 Expo!
