Decreased capacity from 6 riders per car to 3 riders per bobsled? That's not good.

So they're going to be Magic Kingdom Space Mountain type cars? Ouch. Those things are so uncomfortable.

Sorry to see this change. Part of the charm is riding with your loved one in the same seat.

This isn't as much of a decrease in capacity as you might think. You're talking six riders per train, while the old bobsleds could theoretically hold eight if everyone rode with a partner, and only four if no one did. As someone who knows a lot of folks that work on the Matterhorn, the number is more often four than eight.

This is a great change - I'm glad to hear the CM rumors turned out to be true.

I will certainly miss the old design when I ride with my wife, but for non-couples, the new layout will be very welcome. Because of that potential awkwardness, I see a lot of trains leave with two people per car, so in practical terms there may not be a decrease in capacity. I imagine load and unload will be faster and easier so that could increase capacity.
