The two bonus fast pass deal that now offer disney for each guest for stay of disney hotels are valid from january until june 10, that can be another signal.

WDW has a similar deal for FL Residents: 3 days for $99 (plus tax), a 4th day is $30, and park hopping is $27.50 (plus tax)

I'm 99% sure the last '2fer' deal was the same as this and valid at either Disneyland or California Adventure for 2-days. It's been advertised as go to one park and then the other, but it hasn't been a requirement. I've even had friends a couple of years ago use the two admissions on the same day, essentially making it a one-day park hopper. However, they may have stopped allowing that.

June 4th and 5th are blockout dates because those are the last two days that the "Southern California Select" annual passports are valid before the summer blockout of June 6 to August 20. Historically, both parks have nearly reached capacity on those final days. It's the only two days in June that all five annual passport types are valid.

I'm taking advantage of the 3 day park hopper, although the So Cal annual passport at $269 is tempting (a bit over $100 more expensive). I might buy the So Cal AP in the fall after Carsland opens and Buena Vista Street is completed. Or maybe I'll wait until 2013 when the lines die down.

This may have an obvious answer, but do you have to show an ID to get the discount or can you recite a zip code in SoCal to get it?

You must show proof that you live in one of the zip codes.

You have to show ID when you buy at the ticket booths, but just need to submit the zip code when you buy online. They can ask you for ID when you use the ticket to get in, but I've never had anyone do that with the passes I've bought.

Disclaimer: I have an annual pass and have used the resident passes for my wife and kids, so I suspect that my using my AP might have been enough for the gate CMs. I'd like to hear from non-APs if they've had to show ID with resident tickets bought and printed online.

I have been ID'd in the past for the COSTCO deal (they want to make sure the same person used the same tickets all four times). They could ID you. You're taking a chance. That's why I always bring my receipt for in case something happens and I would make my case that it wasn't my fault, I could exchange the tickets for something else so it wouldn't be total loss.
