I would absolutely love to be able to ride this when it opens. It looks very unique for the theme park industry.

Intriguing. May have to revisit BGW during my annual Virginia pilgrimage this year... Any idea on an opening date?

It's got to be better than Cheetah Hunt. Granted, with that one they made a big deal out of its' acceleration and speed, and really it was just a glorified family coaster.

Robert said: ".. it suggests that SeaWorld's aiming for a ride.."

There's a SeaWorld in VA now? :)

I hate teasers that show absolutely nothing of the ride.

SeaWorld's the name of the corporate parent now.

^^Wasn't aware of that distinction. Sorry, Robert, and thanks!

Where does the name come from? Verboten is german for forbidden, right? So what about the extra L? Bolt as in lightning? A forbidden bolt of lightning? Just curious. Is it just wordplay, or does it mean something?

It is a play on words.

Reason #389 to go to Busch Gardens Williamsburg: This ride.

Is this being put in the same location as Big Bad Wolf? Is there an indoor element to it, or all outdoor?
From Frank Forrester on January 14, 2012 at 10:50 AM
There is an indoor element with the ride. They had the indoor section of track and the building it is enclosed in built by the beginning of Christmas Town. The outdoor track was being put up during Christmas Town and by New Year's Eve a lot of the track was up especially the drop over the Rhine River. The ride will be using the Big Bad Wolf launch building and start off outside. You will basically go from outdoors to indoors and back to outdoors for the ride.
