Published: February 23, 2012 at 9:24 AMI love stories and thats why I went for Terminator.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 9:25 AMTerminator is still fun, but Soarin' is just awesome! A bit short for the wait, but exhilirating nonetheless.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 9:31 AMI had to think about this one.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 9:42 AMI like T2, but I love Soarin'. It's my favourite non coaster ride. Yes the transitions are not great, but how else could you experience flying over so many environments in a 5 minute ride. My favourite parts are when you pick up speed over the river and then the beach at sunset. Awesome! I can ride it again and again and not get bored!
Try watching T2 over and over.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 9:44 AMWhile I know it won't win, I find Terminator to be the better all around attraction.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 10:32 AMSoarin' has more see-ability. T2 is a do it once and your done.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 10:39 AMUnusual for me to vote for something I've not been on, but I wasn't a fan of the Terminator attraction. I voted Soarin'.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 10:54 AMThe first time I saw T2 I was like 'that was pretty cool.' My first time on Soarin' I was like 'holy crap, that was awesome!' Thus, I voted for Soarin'.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 11:07 AMHad I not experience Terminator 2: 3D again over the weekend, I would have most likely gone with Soarin'. But the mix of live action and 3D is really unlike anything else in the world. Soarin' is unique, of course, but unfortunately flying over IMAX domes is becoming more and more the norm each day. (See: Back to the Future, Simpsons, Harry Potter)
Published: February 23, 2012 at 11:28 AMDefently goona vote for soarin I love that ride
Published: February 23, 2012 at 11:43 AMWhile I really like Terminator, Soarin' is one of my favorite rides, period. It is my favorite simulator ride (ignoring track-based simulators), and it is really the most beautifully done ride I've seen. Other than the lack of transitions (which I don't mind), the ride is perfect. This is one of the rides I make a point of doing every time I visit the Disneyland Resort, no matter how long the line is, and I still enjoy it every single time I ride.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 11:52 AMTerminator 2 was cool in the 90's. I feel soarin is a much better overall attraction with better technology. I do like the story of T2 thought.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 1:35 PMI think both of these attractions are totally overrated, but I voted for Soarin' because I'm more likely to make an effort to go on it when I'm at Epcot than I am with Terminator at Universal.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 3:14 PMI knew Soarin was going to get more votes, but really? A 5-minute IMAX movie is in no way better than a multi-media 3D movie and live action stunt show combination that you are in the middle of.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 3:52 PMI voted for Soarin. No contest. Although Soarin is jumpy and has too many jump cuts for my taste, Terminator has an identity crisis. It can't decide if we're part of the show or watching.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 4:04 PMI'm with you on that one Tony.... T23D takes a lot more work to produce each showing than running a projector. I think the WDW fans don't like anything in their parks coming in second place.
"Soarin all the way... yeah, it's five minutes and the jumps suck, but it's at a Disney park..." [end sarcasm]
Published: February 23, 2012 at 4:35 PMI voted Soarin. Maybe its becuase ive seen T2 over 30 times and only been on soarin maybe 7. When it comes down the feeling of flight mixed in with scent always gives me goosebumps. T2 sorry(still love you thought most of the time here in Hollywood your not running 100%). Was so almost about to vote for T2, ahhhhh can I change it? LOL
Published: February 23, 2012 at 4:35 PMI voted for Soarin' as well. Nothing against T2 3D, it is a fine attraction, but Soarin' is the preferred experience. Add to it the fact that almost everyone can enjoy the ride and you have an all around family adventure. As a bonus, the queue music loop is terrific!
Published: February 23, 2012 at 8:00 PMI voted for Terminator. I dunno I like guns, robots, and action over smelling trees and watching a landscape video.
Published: February 23, 2012 at 8:02 PMI still get a chill when I ride Soarin. I love the smell-o-rama (when it works)and looking for the hidden Mickeys (check out the golf ball).
Published: February 23, 2012 at 9:38 PMI voted for Soarin'...from the front row. That's the place to be for the best "flying" sensation.
Published: February 24, 2012 at 2:25 AMDidn't the cyborgs lining the walls in the T2 theater used to shoot at the audience? I just seem to remember that it used to feel more "real," as if the audience were really in danger. Now, as someone else commented, it starts off with that "suspension of disbelief/this is really happening" feeling but changes to "let's sit in a comfy theater and watch a show."
