I guess they wanted to film on a busier day of the year? Either that or someone screwed up with the schedule and didn't research what was going on at DLR.

Brandon, I think it was very intentional. Generate buzz for the show by filming it on a busy day, when the park is filled with fans who'll talk up the show with their friends. Heck, I seem to have complied....

Never heard of the show. Who watches "regular" TV these days? Walking Dead is on AMC, folks, not ABC!!! ;)

Kinda scary that they are doing this with "Modern Family" already. This is one of the "Jump the Shark" things ABC does when they run out of story ideas for a sitcom. "Modern Family" is a good show I hate to see it leave tv.

I think ^ Your wrong. They just did a great Target Episode in December. Its a great synergy move. Do your own show in your own park eliminating costs. And pushing something that is about to open a new area in a park on their property.

I am a huge fan of all the cast was there on a training thru my company staying at the resort. There were filming at Disneyland, the resorts restruant Napa Rose and also at the pool.

I disagree with the "jump the shark" idea too. The episodes of Full House at Walt Disney World are AWESOME, and the show ran for a while after that. Also, although not ABC or Disney, the Brady Bunch Episode at Kings Island is pretty amazing too. If only they hadn't bought that Yogi Bear poster.

Rao, I'm with you. I gave up my former favorite show (sorry, Dom) Family Guy, because it airs at the same time as WD, and I don't have a recorder. After Dead finishes the season, I'll go back to Fox and play catch-up.

I've never watched Modern Family, but I've always read good things. And any program that keeps Al Bundy employed is OK in my book.

How is it jumping the shark? Disneyland and Modern Family are both owned by, well, Disney. Why wouldn't be a good idea? I think it could be a very funny episode. We have kids of each age, old man, the foreigner, gay guys, a uptight mother, and a goofy father. I see them at the parks every day!

I would love to see Cam there!

Mike, they always air re-runs of the past season in the summer before the new one airs in September. Does anyone remember the episodes of Family Guy where they went to Magic Kingdom and Six Flags?

I'm not saying that the Disney episodes aren't good but, this is something that ABC does when a show has run out of good ideas. Think "Roseanne" or "Family Matters" or even "Full House", all those shows were on there death bed when they did this.

Now, I don't know if this picture is a scene from the show, or simply a candid shot of actress Sofia Vergara and Rico Rodriguez, who plays her son, having fun on a ride between takes.

If it's the former, then this picture bothers me a little. If it's the latter, it bothers me a little more.

Disney policy does not forbid personal belongings, including cell phones, on any of their rides. If someone wants to potentially ruin their cell phone on Splash Mountain then so be it.
