Published: March 21, 2007 at 12:50 PMI just did the virtual ride...freakin awesome!! Two inversions..I couldnt believe it. I've never been to BG Europe but now i'm gonna have to take that trip up there when Griffon opens. Two thumbs up for BG Europe!! :-)
Published: March 21, 2007 at 3:17 PMBusch did an amazing job with this coaster and meeting the "late spring" deadline that they had proposed. I was looking at bgescape.com and saw oodles of upclose pictures of the wings that will take guests on the magical flight we call Griffon. They are red and yellow with black seats. The ten seats across are mesmorizing. The plastic on the seats is brand new and looks magnificant. They are pretty much just waiting for plants to grow and villages to be finished. Darn those slow-growing plants! The coaster itself is ready to go. I hope that rumor about the test runs is true! If it is, I could most likely scrounge up some pictures of the test runs. I can not wait to see those trains in action! Going down the 90 degree drop! AHH! My heart is already pounding (I can imagine what it will do when I am actually on the ride). I am purchasing a Fun Pass this year just so I can ride Griffon whenever I want. This ride is my dream come true. VA doesn't have that many "amazing" rides other than Apollo, so Griffon is a HUGE deal here. I have been following the progress of this attraction every day, and you know that if I get anymore info, I will post it here ASAP! Hope I am not the only one this excited! ps..does anyone have pictures of the front entrance sign to Griffon?? I am dying to see what my first sight of Griffon before I ride it will be!

Anyhoo doesn't mattah, it's sooooo xciting!!! I CANNOT wait til I can get there to ride too!! Ohhh I am soooo xcited I'm bouncin' off the walls (ok maybe not REALLY but you get my meaning lol). :0 :)
Published: March 24, 2007 at 10:18 AMBush Gardens Europe is basically introducing it's sister park's Sheikra in new more intense fashion. 2 loops compared to 1 loop at Tampa's Coaster; 205 ft compared to 200ft (not much difference, but still thrilling). I must say I can't wait to ride Griffon. It's cool that they are introducing it floorless which will add to the thrill. Sheikra isn't floorless just yet, but on a January 31, 2007 Press Release, Bush Gardens Tampa announced that Sheikra will undergo a floorless conversion for 2-3 weeks after Memorial Day and will re-open as the worlds second Floorless Dive Coaster.
Once again, can't wait to ride Griffon, the improved version of Sheikra.
