Published: November 5, 2012 at 8:30 PMI went to Europa Park two years ago. Definitely worth a visit. Very comparable to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, in that it has an good assortment of thrill rides, decent theming, and beautiful grounds. It's also relatively close to picturesque areas of southwestern Germany, like Heidelberg and the German Weinstrasse (Wine Route) in Rheinland-Pfalz.
If I remember correctly, Blue Fire was the coaster that had sensors that riders could hold on to that measured their heart rate while they rode, which I had never seen on a coaster before. Psychologically, it made the coaster even more thrilling!

Published: November 5, 2012 at 9:34 PMBlue Fire is one of my 3 favourite coasters in the world. I'm big on a touch of theming mixed with a touch of thrill. I agree, the dark ride section of it only really builds the tension for the launch, but it still improves this ride. I'd love to ride it now that it intertwines with the Wodan wooden coaster that Europa Park has added. Good choice for attraction of the week!
